Living Green
At Wisnom's, “living green” is more than just a catchphrase. We work hard to put into place systems and programs that are environmentally friendly as we run our business, in addition to stocking and selling products that will help you live green.
Recycling programs

Following is a sampling of some of the earth friendly products that we have available:

  • Electric lawn mowers and "weed whackers"
  • Degradable trash bags
  • Less toxic garden supplies
  • Natural cleaning products
  • Compact fluorescent light bulbs and LED lightbulbs
  • Individual size teapots for heating water
  • Battery charging stations and rechargeable batteries
  • Reusable tote bags – for groceries, hardware, and other errands you run. Keep a few in your car.
We accept the following items for recycling DURING BUSINESS HOURS only :
  • Fluorescent lighting:
    • A Wisnom's Associate must be present to accept the lighting
  • Paint recycling:   LATEX paint only
      • We cannot accept oil-based paints or spray cans
      • Paint must be dry
      • A Wisnom's Associate must be present to accept the paint
  • Batteries:
    • We accept household use batteries only, such as AA, C, D, 9 volt.
    • We accept  button batteries such as those used in cameras, eleactronics, and hearing aids.
    • Please DO NOT bring automotive batteries, we are unable to accept these.  Please check with the business where you bought the battery for recylcing of automotive batteries.
    • Please bring the batteries to a cashier or associate inside the store.
Thank you for dropping these items off during business hours only, so that we can keep our property clean and tidy, and contine to offer these services in our community.
